Sarah Jessica Parker is synonymous with style. Of course it all started with her Manolo Blahnik-loving character Carrie Bradshaw on "Sex and the City," but her obsession with couture continued long after the television series ended. Since her days on the small screen, the 47-year-old mother of three has covered Vogue, started her own clothing label, Bitten and become bffs with industry heavy-hitters like Anna Wintour and Kenneth Cole.
Parker is a lady who knows how to color-block, power-clash and rock a metallic blazer -- and that's no small feat. Whether she's on the red carpet or taking her twins to the park, she is always paparazzi ready in unique, inspired looks. Although the actress has had a prolific acting career, her sense of style is what put her on the map. Because Mrs. Matthew Broderick never gets it wrong, we decided to take a page out of her book and take style cues from the guru herself.

Inspiration 1
If you're going to wear head-to-toe neutrals, you want to make it interesting. Here, Sarah Jessica Parker went for a traditional pencil skirt, but its high-waisted nature, paired with pumps and a beanie completely elevate the look.

Inspiration 2
This outfit could be called "Color-Blocking-101." Not only has the star paired unlikely colors (when's the last time you saw anyone in pink and red?), but she is smart enough to keep the rest of her look neutral as to not distract from the bold hues.

Inspiration 3
Although mixing prints can be dangerous, SJP chose to stick to one color palette and opt for patterns of different sizes, so the ensemble didn't read too busy. Her pink pumps work to break up the outfit and add a much needed pop of color.

Inspiration 4
If it weren't for Parker's metallic blazer, this outfit could have been rather blah. The take away here is to pair your basics with a statement piece to liven up the look.

Sarah Jessica Parker Mixes Prints Like a Pro With Checks and Polka Dots
Sarah Jessica Parker stepped out last night in a mixed-print look that we love. She paired her dotted dress with a contrasting boucl? grid-print jacket, proving the power of pattern mixing when done right. SJP gave her ensemble a jolt of color with some bright pink heels, and finished off her look with her best accessory - husband Matthew Broderick.
